Last year I added a section to the tail of my presentations that discussed some of the impending transformations in life insurance product. I argued that I thought true level commission products were just over the horizon. My evidential trump card was that a carrier was in the process of developing just such a product would have it out by mid-August. Well, it’s mid-August and that product has not hit the market. I found out a couple of weeks ago that it was shelved indefinitely. Nonetheless, I’m still sticking to my guns on this one. Level commission is coming and will transform the industry when it does.
